It took about six weeks, but Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with an assault that took place in downtown Chatham Sept. 28.
Police say a 23-year-old man was assaulted that night near King and Fourth streets, suffering serious injuries.
Officers were able to identify a suspect, and made an arrest yesterday morning.
A 30-year-old Chatham man is charged with aggravated assault.
