Early Monday morning, a man first received assistance from paramedics, and then was promptly arrested by police in Chatham.
Police say about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 30, officers assisted paramedics in providing medical attention to an intoxicated man on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Investigation revealed the man had been drinking at a nearby establishment, and it turns out he was released from jail last year with a condition to not possess or consume alcohol.
A 50-year-old man is charged with failing to comply.
