The man police believe is responsible for a Wednesday evening robbery in Chatham is dead.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a report yesterday of a man with vital signs absent at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, they identified him as a 45-year-old Chatham man, and say he was the guy responsible for robbing BoRics Hair Salon on Grand Avenue Wednesday.
That evening, a man walked into the salon, brandished a knife and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. No one was hurt.
Police say they are continuing to work with the coroner’s officer in the sudden death investigation.
