It apparently didn’t take too long for a man to breach his release conditions.
Late last month, a man was released from court with several conditions, including to obey a daily curfew between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and to reside at a specific Shrewsbury address.
But just before 11 p.m. last night, Chatham-Kent police say they found the guy hiding in the stairwell of an apartment building in Blenheim. He tried to flee, but officers arrested him a short distance away.
A 34-year-old man of no fixed address had outstanding warrants for domestic-related offences, drug possession, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to comply with release conditions and failing to attend court. He was additionally charged with breaching his curfew and residency conditions. This time, he was held in custody, at least until he had a bail hearing.
