Chatham-Kent police arrested a man last night in connection with a slew of graveyard thefts back in March.

Several vases, plaques and other items were taken from the mausoleum in Maple Leaf Cemetery back in March. A number of copper and brass vent covers, along with a brass flower vase and candleholder from a gravesite were sold to a local recycling company.

Police investigated and identified their suspect.

A 36-year-old Murray Street man is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property.
