Driving through a farmer’s field in the middle of the night is no guarantee you will elude police. Just ask a man who faces charges after someone did just that early this morning.

Chatham-Kent police say an officer tried to pull a driver over on Allison Line about 3 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and drove through a farmer’s field on Harwich Road.

Officers picked up the vehicle on Mull Road, as it was running with damage tires after the run through the field.

A 34-year-old Blenheim man is charged with flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
