Sometimes, they don’t like to go to jail.
That was the case on Sunday morning for a man on Chatham-Kent’s Wanted List.
Police say officers located the man, who was wanted for breaching conditions of his probation after being released back in October. One condition was to not be in possession of any illegal drugs.
On Sunday morning, police located their man, except police say he tried to run. Following a short foot chase, officers made their arrest.
A subsequent search revealed the man was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, police say.
A 38-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to comply and drug possession.
C-K police turned him over to Stratford police, as he is also wanted on an outstanding warrant with that police service.
