Chatham-Kent OPP are continuing to investigate what caused a crash on Highway 401 on the weekend that injured five people.
According to police, an eastbound vehicle left the highway, entered the south ditch and rolled shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.
All five adults in the vehicle had to be taken to hospital, with one being airlifted from the scene after suffering life-threatening injuries.
Police say the eastbound lanes of the 401 between Highway 40 and Kent Bridge Road were closed for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators tried to piece together what happened.
