Don’t be out past your curfew, and don’t be walking around with a table leg hidden in your sweater.
That’s what police say happened early this morning in Chatham.
About 1:30 a.m., an officer saw a man running from an apartment building on Thames Street. The officer recognized the man as someone who was released in December with a probation order that had conditions, including a daily curfew of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
During the search of the suspect, police say the officer found a wooden table leg concealed in his sweater.
A 32-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to comply and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
