Food Freedom Day

Supporters from the Kent Federation of Agriculture (KFA), the Salvation Army and Outreach for Hunger celebrate Food Freedom Day Saturday in Chatham.

It was the day when the average Canadian has earned enough income to pay for his or her grocery bill for the entire year. Each year, the KFA and the community celebrate this day in a special way.

This year, the KFA co-ordinated local food donations to both Salvation Army and Outreach for Hunger in Chatham-Kent. Monetary donations will be put towards food products for both organizations.

Everyone is welcome to participate by donating to the local Salvation Army or Outreach for Hunger in Chatham-Kent.
