Security officials and police had a busy afternoon at Wal-Mart in Chatham yesterday, as the seasonal criminal element showed up in force.
Shortly before 1 p.m., police got the first shoplifting call.
A 33-year-old Chatham woman faces theft and possession of stolen property charges.
Two hours later, it was a 27-year-old Chatham woman who police charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
A half hour later, police were called back to Wal-Mart. It seems a woman was trying to exchange stolen property, police say.
A 36-year-old Essex woman is charged with fraud.
