Freedom can be a fleeting thing, especially when you do not pay attention to your release conditions.
Chatham-Kent police said that was the case for a Blenheim man just yesterday. They say he was released about noon with conditions that included to not be within 50 metres of a specific Chatham woman.
Yet a little over two hours later, he was back in custody. Police say he went to the woman’s home and tried calling her.
A 25-year-old Blenheim man is charged with failing to comply. He’s behind bars until Dec. 10.
