Chatham-Kent police have turned to the public for more information regarding a disturbance Saturday night near the cenotaph in Chatham.
About 9 p.m. during the cenotaph vigil, a 66-year-old Dover Township man was standing at the monument holding vigil when he was approached by two men and a woman, all unknown to him.
An argument began, police say, and then the Dover man was assaulted.
The trio fled.
The man, police say, did not require medical attention.
The first suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, with short brown hair, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 in height. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt.
The second suspect is also in his early 20s, had short brown hair, about the same height as the other man, and wore a sweater with “USC” or “UMC” on the front.
Police say the woman is about 25 with blonde hair.
