What does a police officer do when he encounters a guy riding a bike in the middle of the night with a flat screen TV on the handlebars?
Investigate, and for good reason.
Chatham-Kent police say about 2:45 a.m. this morning, an officer saw someone pedalling along Lacroix Street with a TV on his handlebars.
It turns out the TV, a 32-inch Insignia, was stolen from a parked vehicle on Faubert Drive.
As the man was arrested and searched, the officer found a wallet in the man’s waistband, and determined it was stolen from another vehicle on Faubert Drive.
A 37-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property.
