A routine traffic stop led to drug trafficking charges last night in Chatham.
Police say an officer pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Thames Street.
Through investigation, the officer seized three clear plastic bags containing methamphetamine, cocaine and Tylenol pills. Police also seized a scale, packaging material, a crack pipe and a silver spoon that has suspected drug residue on it.
Two Chatham residents, a 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The man also faces two charges of failing to comply with his release conditions.
