A Lambton teen is in hospital in London after a serious crash last night on Gould Road east of Dresden.

Police said the 16-year-old girl was behind the wheel of her father’s truck about 10 p.m. Sunday night when she lost control, left the road and the truck wound up in a field.

She wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, police said, and was ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency crews took her to local hospital, but she was later transferred to London with life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic Unit of the Chatham-Kent Police Service has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Randy Whittaker at randyw@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
