An update on yesterday’s stolen pickup situation where four people were taken into custody, and one quickly released.
Thursday morning, someone stole a 2017 Chevy Silverado from a parking lot in Tilbury. Officers spotted the truck on St. Clair Street in Chatham about an hour later, and conducted a high-risk vehicle stop.
All four occupants were taken into custody.
The first person released was a female youth.
Police say an adult man was also released.
A 17-year-old Chatham girl is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
An 18-year-old Tilbury man is also facing the same charges.
