Chatham-Kent OPP officers had their radar guns working overtime recently, clocking a trio of speedsters doing more than 140 km/h through a construction zone on Highway 401.
The first took place April 30 at about 11 p.m. An eastbound vehicle flew through the zone near Duart Road doing more than 150 km/h, police say.
A 25-year-old Brampton man faces racing charges.
The next evening, police charged a 46-year-old Brantford man for doing more than 140 km/h in the 80 km/h zone near Scane Road.
Around that same time and in that same area, officers clocked another vehicle doing more than 150 km/h in the 80 km/h zone.
A 23-year-old Ann Arbour, Mich. man is charged with racing.
All three lost their licenses for a week, as well as their vehicles, and have future court dates.
