It was an odd weekend of thefts in Chatham-Kent.
A neighbourhood in northeast Chatham saw a pair of vehicles stolen overnight Friday and Saturday.
The first vanished off Valley Road. It’s a 2017 black Ford Escape, last seen with Ontario license plates BSHW 226.
The other vehicle was stolen from a residence on Viscount Street. It’s a 2017 grey Honda Civic, last seen with Ontario license plates CCTJ 019.
Anyone with information on either of these vehicles is asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police at 519-436-6600. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
That same night, someone broke into an outbuilding at an address on Pioneer Line just outside of Chatham, and made off with three ATVs.
The stolen ATV’s are described as a 2003 Polaris, Model A03, grey in colour; a 2001 Suzuki, Model L80, yellow in colour; and a 1999 Polaris, Model A99, white in colour. The total value of the property was approximately $4,400.

Also that same night, someone drilled into the gas tanks of two vehicles in Wallaceburg to steal fuel. One was on Thomas Avenue, the other on Reaume Avenue.
Police say this isn’t the first time someone’s drilled into gas tanks of vehicles in Wallaceburg.
Residents are being asked to report any suspicious activity observed, especially during the night time hours.
