The Howard Mutual Foundation recently gave the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation a grant for $7,500 to support the Hospice Kitchen Program.

The program, run mainly by volunteers, provides homemade meals for the residents, and soups, baked goods and snacks for hospice family members and guests. Chatham-Kent Hospice offers this service at no cost to residents and their family but relies on donations to cover expenses.

“We are very grateful to the Howard Mutual Foundation for their gift. The Hospice Kitchen is not only a place where loved ones can enjoy the taste and smell of comfort food, but it is a place where families often connect with other families going through the same journey,” Jodi Maroney, Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, said in a release.
