Dave Brooks of Goodreau Excavation cuts up a huge tree on Monday that floodwaters along the Thames River deposited on the shoreline near the base of the Third Street Bridge in late February.
Ryan Goodreau said all the silt enveloping the tree quickly dulled their chainsaw teeth, which slowed the cleanup process.
The provincial government recently announced it has activated its Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians to help Chatham and Thamesville residents who suffered damage during the flood.
