Sir: Your recent story about Kyle Wicks and his passion for photography “An Eye for Beauty” (Jan.17 Chatham Voice) was like a breath of fresh air. I commend his unabashed hard work and determination as well as his obvious talent for photography.
It’s great to see someone as young as he is going to such heights to pursue his interest.
It was also enlightening to learn that “most of his material is all natural.” That seems to be fairly rare with today’s photographers. It also depicts the raw talent that this young man has.
I imagine his camera and equipment are quite expensive, never mind the traveling that he’s done to capture many of his beautiful shots.
I loved that he scaled the crane of the Boardwalk Condo project to get the shots of the city. He is a risk taker and that alone shows his ambition and drive for his picture taking.
He truly must be an inspiration to other young people and sends a message to all without even realizing it; “go for whatever it is that you enjoy, whatever makes you happy; the results may be more than you expect.”
Keep up the awesome work and your enthusiasm for your “hobby,” Kyle, and may it lead to everything you’ve dreamed of – and more.
