Sir: Having read all items in the Feb. 15 issue of your community newspaper – all truthful and most pleasant, as usual – it’s obvious that there is so much kindness in events put on in our community of Chatham-Kent.
In particular Alysson Storey of Rondeau’s letter to you was nicely filled with facts. She, softly, stated regarding Highway 401 barriers’s that, “This is so not over.”
We read a number of daily papers, where headlines would have us believe that all is well with present leaders of our province and our country.
Due to people reading papers, besides The Voice, we would like to suggest these folks practice the new “mindfulness.”
Take your newspaper to a quiet place where they will not be interrupted.
Quiet their mind; then read all articles in depth, not just the headlines.
As a child I was told, “You can trust a thief, but never a liar”.
A thief only steals, a liar controls.
Lying is habit forming. It kills one’s conscience.
With my parents’ advice in mind, I urge them to sit quietly for two or three minutes. Maybe shut their eyes. Allow their hearts and consciences to speak “mindfully.” Doing such; they will gain truth, and wisdom.
They will know whose sign to put on their lawns regarding the June 2018 provincial election. As well, the federal election, coming soon.
It can be fun, to stop confusion, and just listen.
Thank you for hearing our voices.
