Three Chatham people face weapons charges in the wake of a Dec. 30 disturbance.
Police say early that morning, at about 2 a.m., there was a disturbance outside a residence on Edgar Street in Chatham involving a handful of people with weapons.
On Jan. 5, a 26-year-old Chatham man was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief.
Yesterday morning at 9 a.m., a 47-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man turned themselves in at police headquarters. Both face charges for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as two counts each of failing to comply, while the man also faces a mischief charge.
Police say the failing to comply charges result from the release of the two people last fall from custody. When the woman was released in October, her conditions included to not associate with a certain man that is known to her and to not possess any weapons.
As for the man, released in November, he was to not associate with a certain woman, and he too was to not possess any weapons.
