Stop for school buses

A Chatham woman faces charges after someone recently blew through the flashing red lights of a stopped school bus.

Police say on Wednesday morning shortly before 9 a.m., a black Chevy passed the school bus, which was stopped on Thames Street with hits red lights flashing and stop arm activated.

The bus driver honked in another effort to alert the driver, but, according to camera footage from the bus, the driver made no attempt to stop or even slow down.

A 30-year-old Chatham woman is charged with failing to stop for a school bus.
