A Chatham woman faces serious charges after a domestic argument turned ugly last night.
Police say it began about 10 p.m. Wednesday night, where a woman and her boyfriend began arguing in their home. But that escalated when the woman hit the man in the head.
As he tried to leave the room, she grabbed a knife, police say, and advanced on him. He was able to retreat into a bedroom, but she began kicking and damaging the door.
At this time, police were called.
A 35-year-old Chatham woman is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief.
