A five-vehicle pileup Sunday on Highway 401 sent two people to hospital with life-threatening injuries and closed the highway in both directions for much of the night.
Chatham-Kent OPP say the accident occurred near Dillon Road. A westbound tractor-trailer rear-ended a pickup truck, sparking the chain reaction.
The crash and resulting investigation closed the highway in both directions for about seven hours, police say.
