Planning is underway for the fifth edition of the Buy Local! Buy Fresh! map of Chatham-Kent.
The Kent Federation of Agriculture said since the first edition of the map was printed in 2007, interest from consumers and producers has grown.
The interest in farm fresh and locally grown products has driven the demand to update the Chatham-Kent map. Consumers want to know where their products are coming from and how they are produced.
Chatham-Kent farmers or producers who are interested in being listed on the 2017/2018 edition of the map should contact the Kent Federation of Agriculture. Spaces are limited and the deadline to register is March 15.
The committee is also looking for agriculture organizations and businesses interested in sponsoring the 2017 map. For more information or to register to be included on the 2017 Buy Local! Buy Fresh!
