As many of us hustle to finish our Christmas shopping, others seem to be forgetting rules to which they have agreed.

Police picked up three people yesterday for failing to comply with their release conditions.

A 26-year-old Tilbury man is facing several counts of failing to comply and three of breach of probation. Police say the man was released back in August with several conditions, including not coming within 50 metres of a specific Grand Avenue address in Chatham, not travelling to Chatham without his surety, and to obey a daily curfew between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. A probation order also stated the man wasn’t supposed to be near the Grand Avenue address.

Police say yesterday the man went to the woman’s residence multiple times. Officers tracked him down and he was arrested.

Meanwhile, in October, a man was released from custody with conditions, including that he was to not communicate with a specific woman, and to obey a daily curfew. He also had two probation orders to not associate with that woman.

Last night, officers responded to a trespass complaint at a St. Clair Street business in Chatham. Police say they found the man hanging out with the woman.

A 46-year-old Chatham man is charged with two counts of failing to comply and two counts of breach of probation.

And in late November, another man was released from custody with conditions, one of which was to not communicate with a specific woman.

Yet, last night, police say officers went to the man’s residence to complete a compliance check, only to find him with that woman.

A 31-year-old Chatham man is also charged with failing to comply.
