Police divers pulled a body from the water of the Thames River near Chatham Wednesday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police confirmed it was that of Michael Michiels, 66, of Riverview Line, the man reported missing Sunday night.
A post-mortem took place in London today, and the cause of death has been deemed not suspicious.
Previous reports say family feared the man had slipped into the river while looking for his dog.
The Chatham-Kent Police Marine Unit and the OPP Dive Team had been searching the river for a couple of days before making their discovery.
