Farmers may be out harvesting their crops, but it seems thieves are enjoying a harvest of their own these days in C-K.
Sometime between Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 28 at 6:30 a.m., someone broke into RJ Equipment on Industrial Avenue in Blenheim, stealing three plasma torches, a thermal arc welder, three mig welders, a portable set of acetylene torches on a handmade cart, and a couple of tool chests stocked with various hand tools and a pair of five-inch Makita grinders.
Estimated value of the theft is $27,000.
The equipment was in a 2004 Ford F250, which was also stolen.

Meanwhile, on Oct. 30 about 10:30 p.m., someone broke into the Bargain Shop in Ridgetown and stole about $700 in electronics.

And sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone entered an unlocked garage and shed on Valley Road and stole about $5,000 worth of DeWalt tools.
