Why do so many people in Chatham-Kent seem to think the law doesn’t apply to them?
Police pulled over a driver on Wellington Street in Chatham yesterday, only to discover a slew of issues.
First off, police say the license plates on the Honda Accord were actually registered to a Pontiac Montana.
A search revealed the driver was in possession of hydromorphone.
As well, the driver, police add, was suspended from driving way back in October of 2010 for unpaid fines.
But back to the hydromorphone. The cops say the same guy entered into a probation order last summer with several conditions, one of which was for him to not possess or consume any unlawful drugs.
A 32-year-old Chatham man faces charges of breach of probation, drug possession, driving while under suspension, and using plates not authorized for the vehicle.
