Community groups in Chatham-Kent looking for funding can apply to the 2017 Community Partnership Fund starting next week.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent announced applications will be available on Oct. 3 for the 2017 round of the Community Partnership Fund (CPF).

In keeping with its commitment to encourage community development through partnerships with community groups, municipal council allocates funds each year for distribution to community groups through the competitive CPF process. Groups that have projects in mind for 2017 are invited to apply for funding of up to 50% of project costs, to a maximum of $10,000 per project for community projects and a maximum of $5,000 per project under the festival and events component.

The deadline for applications for this round of funding is Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m. Grant guidelines and application forms will be available starting Oct. 3 at all municipal centres, information desks and public libraries throughout Chatham-Kent, and will also be available online at www.chatham-kent.ca under the Residents heading. (Choose the “Community Funding” link, then click on “Community Partnership Fund”.)
All applications will be reviewed by a committee of representatives from various municipal departments that will make recommendations for municipal council to consider.
