Police are looking for a middle-aged man after a woman was accosted in Thames Grove Conservation Area Tuesday.

Police say a 64-year-old Chatham woman was enjoying a walk on a path near the river at Thames Grove shortly before 4 p.m. when she came upon a man pleasuring himself.

The man then grabbed the woman in a sexual manner, police say, and made a sexual utterance.

The woman fled and contacted police.

Officers flooded the area, but couldn’t find the suspect.

They’re now asking the public to help track him down.

He is described as 50-60, six-feet tall, about 190 lbs., with short hair and physically fit.

He was last seen wearing a red cap and blue faded flip-flops.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Ken Lauzon at kenla@chatham-kent.ca, or 519-436-6623, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
