A woman was airlifted to London after an accident in East Kent last night.
At 7:20 p.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Base Line between Brick Road and Smoke Line in Camden Twp. The driver, a 49-year-old Cambridge man lost control of his vehicle, left the road and came to rest in a ditch. Both the man and his wife, a 52-year-old woman, had to be extricated from the vehicle.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention where he was treated and released. She was air lifted from the scene to the London Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the Traffic Management Section. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Doug Cowell at 519-355-1092.
