More than 300 people took part in the second annual Sod Buster event in Ridgetown July 10.
The 5K walk/run took place at the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph. All proceeds from the event will go towards a proposed new crop research and innovation centre.
Funds raised in the community to date total about $3 million.
The Sod Buster brought in about $30,000.
