Police arrest two

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a pair of residents for theft-related crimes.

Yesterday police located a Blenheim woman in connection with thefts from vehicles last autumn.

On October 26 of last year,  several cars were entered at an east end parking lot in Chatham. Multiple items had been stolen from the vehicles. A Blenheim female was identified in surveillance video and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Yesterday the woman was located biking in Ridgetown and subsequently arrested on the strength of the warrant for two counts of theft under $5000. She was later released on a promise to appear with a future court date.

Last night police were dispatched to Edgar street with regards to a suspicious person complaint and found a 21 year old man outside his residence breaching his curfew conditions. He was arrested for breach of undertaking and 1 breach of recognizance.

The man had been arrested June 13 for theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle and was released with curfew conditions.

He was held awaiting a bail hearing
