Chatham-Kent police have a man in custody after a woman feared for her safety.
Earlier this week, a man and his girlfriend ended their relationship. Since then, the man has continued to send her text messages, followed her around Chatham and sent numerous messages to her Facebook account. The woman made it clear to the man that she wanted no further contact, however he continues to try and reconcile with her.
Yesterday afternoon, police were contacted as the woman feared for her safety. The 26-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with criminal harassment. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
