Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
A verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation as the woman assaulted her husband. He did not require medical attention.
The 55-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
