Sir: Our hospice is an amazing, wonderful complex, built with foresight, compassion, and generous financial support from the community. The hospice will continue to need ongoing financial support in the days ahead.
Euthanasia is a hot topic in Canada.
Many people assume that by definition, a hospice delivering palliative care would not provide doctor-assisted suicide, however, our hospice has not taken a position on doctor-assisted suicide.
If this issue matters to you, now is the time to express your views to the hospice board.
It is my hope that doctor-assisted suicide will not be available at our hospice – either onsite or by referral.
