A Chatham boy was arrested after assaulting a teacher yesterday.
According to Chatham-Kent police, a student was asked several times to complete work in class. He refused to co-operate and started packing up his belongings. Upon being told he could not leave the classroom, the boy pushed his teacher causing her to take several steps backwards.
The 12-year-old Chatham boy was arrested and charged with assault. He was released to a parent pending a future court date of June 13.
