A Chatham woman turned herself in after Chatham-Kent police released her photo yesterday in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Downtown Chatham Centre,
On April 8 around 2:00 p.m., police said a woman was in Sears at the Downtown Chatham Center on King Street and stole various items of clothing valued at approximately $316.
Yesterday, police requested the public’s assistance in identifying the woman. Within hours, the woman turned herself in to police headquarters.
A 43-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with a future court date of May 19.
