A Chatham man was tased and arrested after threatening police with scissors.
Yesterday morning, police were called to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance to assist with an aggressive patient who was refusing to comply with the requests of hospital staff. As police arrived on scene, the man grabbed a pair of scissors and held them in an aggressive manner, refusing to drop the scissors when asked to by officers. A conducted energy weapon (taser) was deployed for everyone’s safety and he was apprehended.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was charged with being in a possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with his Probation Order. He was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
