On March 3, police attended ‘Fit for Less’ at the Real Canadian Superstore on St. Clair Street in Chatham in regards to a theft complaint.

At this time, the victim reported that while he was exercising, unknown suspect(s) damaged the locker he was using and stole money from his wallet.

Another locker was also damaged as well.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and he was arrested last night.

A 28-year-old Princess Street man has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and two counts of mischief under $5000.  He was released pending a future court date of April 6, 2016.
