Chatham-Kent police are now assisting in a death investigation as the result of an incident this morning in downtown Chatham.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m. this morning, emergency crews responded to the Downtown Chatham Centre as a man fell from the parking garage onto Wellington Street.
The 48-year-old Chatham man was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where life saving measures were unsuccessful.
Wellington Street between Fifth Street and Harvey Street remains closed as police assist the Coroner’s Office. The incident does not appear suspicious at this time.
