Around 2:45 a.m. this morning, police responded to a collision on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. The man struck a parked car causing approximately $13,000 damage. Through investigation, the officer believed the man was driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
Bradley Devine, 23 years, of Cedar Crescent in Wallaceburg has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released pending a future court date of January 29, 2016.
Last night around 6:25 p.m. an officer observed the man proceed through a red light at the intersection Grand Avenue and Sandy Street in Chatham. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. A roadside breath test was conducted resulting in the man being issued a three-day license suspension.
The 51-year-old McDougall man was also issued a ticket for disobeying the red light. The vehicle was driven away by a sober passenger.
