On December 13, 2015 shortly after 11:00 p.m. police received a report that eight car batteries had been stolen from a residence on Foster Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, police recovered the batteries and identified the man responsible.
Last night, the 49-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and failing to comply with his curfew condition.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
