Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in the fenced compound of Maple City Mini-Storage on Queens Line. The suspect(s) forced their way into three storage units removing several items. The stolen property was piled along the fence line presumably to be retrieved at a later date. The suspect(s) did however steal two bicycles.
Around 4:00 a.m. yesterday morning, an employee checked the premise and observed the hole in the fence along with the stack of stolen property. Police were immediately called and K9 Arry commenced a track from the storage units which lead to a residence on Queens Line.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and the two bikes were recovered. The 30-year-old man has been charged with break and enter and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
