On September 23, 2015 around 4:15 p.m. a man was observed stealing a Schwinn bicycle from a residence on Sandy Street in Chatham. The value of the bike was $700.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night, officers located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
The 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Maybe he stole my grandsons bike from food basics few months ago have never gotten it back yet!
