There’s a boil water advisory for Thamesville residents, and folks who live along portions of Longwoods Road, Huff’s Side Road, Evergreen Line, Industrial Line, Baseline Road, Sharrow Road, Grove Mills Road, Cider Mill Road, Dawn Mills Road, Station Road and Zone 1.
Municipal officials say the reason for the boil water advisory is due to a loss of pressure during scheduled construction of a new water line.
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Colby, is advising residents to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g. drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.
This advisory measure is in place until the Health Unit receives good results from two consecutive sets of samples taken a minimum of 24 hours apart.
